“I am 24 years old, I joined Metro Bank as a cashier when I was 19 and 5 short years and 3 promotions later I am now the Local Business Manager in Peterborough. In my role I support local businesses and charities in Cambridgeshire. I have a passion for helping people and outside of my work at the bank, this led me to also qualify as a personal trainer. Sport and fitness has been a huge part of my life and was the foundation at which I learnt discipline and commitment whilst also building self-confidence.

I am proud to support Inspire 2 Ignite because it’s a fantastic platform to support young people in learning life skills and supporting them in pursuing their entrepreneurial dreams. Academic achievement is not what defines the success of a person, in fact, often times the most switched on business people have very little in terms of qualifications but instead, an unrivalled passion for what they do and desire to succeed. In a world that has made school grades everything, we need organisations like Inspire 2 Ignite to show our young people that their goal is attainable and provide them the tools and resources to help make it happen.”

Metro Bank has the goal of being the UK’s best community bank and prides itself on customer service. They provide banking facilities for all types of customer whether individuals, businesses, local community groups or charities. With stores open extended hours and 7 days a week, customers have the freedom to do their banking how they please.
