From Seeds to Systems Change: MM Flowers and Inspire 2 Ignite Renew for Three-Year Strategic Partnership
After a powerful and purposeful twelve months of working together, Inspire 2 Ignite and MM Flowers are proud to announce the renewal and expansion of their partnership – setting the stage for a three-year journey to transform youth employment pathways locally, nationally, and internationally.
Rooted in shared values and bold ambition, the partnership began as a pilot – testing a new approach to early careers engagement with local sixth forms and colleges in Cambridgeshire. What followed was a demonstration of what’s possible when industry and community come together with young people at the centre.
Through co-designed simulations, immersive assessments, and real apprenticeship offers, the first phase of the partnership didn’t just raise awareness of careers at MM Flowers – it created real opportunity. In just a few months, 98 young people engaged with the business, and four were offered roles, with many more inspired to consider new futures in the sector.
But this is just the beginning.
Building on early impact, the new three-year partnership outlines a phased, flexible roadmap for growth. It begins by strengthening MM Flowers’ local presence – embedding the brand as the employer of choice in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and laying the foundations for a thriving apprenticeship pipeline. It then supports scale – activating ecosystems around other MM Flowers sites across the UK through regional partner delivery, shared learning, and strategic infrastructure. And finally, it sets sights on international innovation – starting with a research-led pilot in the Netherlands to explore how UK solutions can be adapted for global impact.
At every stage, the approach remains the same: co-design, community, and culture. Inspire 2 Ignite will continue to facilitate co-design with young people, schools, businesses, and MM Flowers staff, while supporting the recruitment and enablement of local delivery partners to ensure place-based sustainability. Alongside this, MM Flowers is actively creating the kind of inclusive, values-led culture that young people are seeking. Through open doors, real opportunities, and a commitment to embedding youth voice, they are building a workplace where the next generation not only wants to work, but can thrive, grow, and belong.
What makes this partnership different isn’t just the activity. It’s the mindset. Together, we’re not just filling vacancies – we’re rebuilding the system that connects young people to meaningful work.
This renewal marks a step-change. A shared belief in doing things differently. And a commitment to moving from one-off initiatives to long-term transformation.
In their own words:
“We are delighted to renew our partnership with Inspire 2 Ignite for another three years, continuing to build on the amazing work we have achieved in the early careers and community space together over the last 12 months.
We can’t wait to welcome our apprentices into the business in the next few weeks and look forward to developing our commitment to young people and offering a meaningful route into employment.”
Rachel Coppillie- Chief People Office, MM Flowers
"It’s been an incredibly exciting journey with MM Flowers over the past year. The impact we’ve created across education settings, and how that’s rippled into communities, shows what’s possible when employers truly invest in the next generation. Supporting MM to attract brilliant local talent into their apprenticeship programme has been a privilege.
Now, I’m looking forward to taking this to the next level, amplifying our work nationally and piloting internationally. This is Inspire 2 Ignite’s first multi-year partnership, and it marks a huge moment for us. We’re ready to grow and blossom with organisations like MM Flowers, walking this journey together.
