Mick George makes commitment to Inspire 2 Ignite!
Inspire 2 Ignite CIC, a UK-based organisation dedicated to empowering young people through entrepreneurial events and experiences, have joined forces with construction industry leader Mick George Ltd to connect with 16 – 24 year olds in the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough area.
The aim of this unique collaboration is to provide an enriching opportunity for young people to develop valuable characteristics and shift their mindset about construction that will help them write their next chapter within the industry.
Connecting young talent
The Curious About Construction project will serve as a platform for young people who are at risk of or currently NEET (Not in Employment, Education or Training) to hone their talents, enhance their knowledge, and cultivate a passion for the construction industry.
By instilling a sense of confidence, motivation, and inspiration, the programme will propel the young people towards unlocking their potential and making a positive impact in the construction industry. Together, Mick George Ltd and Inspire 2 Ignite CIC are dedicated to make a significant impact on the lives 16-24 year olds, enabling them to reach their full potential and positively contribute to society.
Having chosen two young people to be the Mick George Ignite Champions (Elise Bucciero and Courtney Melbourne pictured above) Inspire 2 Ignite will embed these Champions into the Curious Entrepreneurs community, connecting young potential talent to them throughout the year.
Our partnership with Inspire 2 Ignite demonstrates our vision to help inspire the next generation into the construction industry. There is so much scope for young people to succeed here at Mick George, and we’re excited to help raise the profile of construction as a more attractive chapter when young people are writing their stories!

Bridging the gap
The partnership with Mick George will enable Inspire 2 Ignite to continue to deliver on its mission to empower young people and help bridge the skills gap in the industry.
It’s my mission to make sure young people are at the heart of every decision we and our partner make. Mick George have shown us their commitment to investing in the next generation by choosing not one but two young people as their Ignite Champions.
