About the Opportunity

When you think of a career in security, you might picture a Security Officer but the industry is much bigger than that.

Securitas UK is inviting young people to its Milton Keynes site for a one-day Industry Day exploring the different people, technology and expertise involved in keeping businesses and communities safe.

Securitas combines security professionals with technology and intelligence to protect people, premises and organisations. Its work covers everything from on-site and mobile security to CCTV and electronic security, fire and safety, and corporate risk intelligence.

Rather than focusing on one particular career, this day is designed to give you a broader introduction to the security industry and the different pathways within it.

What You’ll Be Doing

Throughout the day, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Discover the different careers available across the security industry
• Hear directly from professionals working in areas such as Security, CCTV and Risk Intelligence
• Learn how technology and people work together to keep organisations safe
• Take part in conversations with experts from different areas of the business
• Join an open panel discussion and ask questions about careers and the industry
• Get involved in an interactive scenario challenge
• Work with others to think through a real-world security situation and make decisions as a team

Securitas’ work ranges from Security Officers carrying out patrols and access control to intelligence specialists analysing information and emerging risks, so the day is a chance to discover roles you may not have known existed.
