About the Opportunity
Citizen Hub is a welcoming community space where people come together to support one another, create opportunities, and build what’s missing locally. They are now offering a 6-week paid Social Media & Community Internship for a young person aged 18-21 in Cambridgeshire.
This is a hands-on, real-world opportunity to gain experience in social media, content creation, and community engagement, working closely with the Citizen Hub team to help tell the story of what’s happening in and around the Hub.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be based in the Citizen Hub and supported throughout the internship. Your role will include:
- Creating and posting content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn
- Writing captions and copy (with support and sign-off before posting)
- Capturing content in the Hub, including photos, short videos, stories, and quotes
- Responding to comments and messages and helping keep conversations going
- Engaging with other local accounts and community conversations online
- Contributing ideas for campaigns, announcements, and community updates
You’ll work closely with the founders and wider team, receive regular feedback, and build confidence as you go.
Who It’s For
This opportunity is ideal for someone who:
- Is aged 18-21 and lives in Cambridgeshire
- Is not currently in education, employment, or training
- Enjoys social media, writing, storytelling, or creative content
- Is curious, reliable, and happy to get involved in a community setting
No formal experience, qualifications, or polished CV are required, attitude and willingness to learn matter most.
