This is your chance to be part of a powerful new art and heritage project, designed to amplify your voices and explore what it means to live in Peterborough today.
What’s it all about?
Where We Are… brings together artists, curators, and local queer youth to co-create new artworks inspired by objects from the British Museum’s LGBTQIA+ collection. This is an exciting opportunity to connect with other creatives, develop your artistic voice, and be supported by professional mentors across art, curation, and performance.
What You’ll Get Involved In:
- Hands-on creative workshops (visual art, performance, heritage research, storytelling)
- Visits to the British Museum and creative spaces
- Mentoring from professional artists and curators
- The opportunity to co-curate a public exhibition at Metal Culture
- A chance to shape what representation looks like in museums and galleries
- £30 paid per session (11 sessions total) for your time
- Travel expenses covered

What’s Expected of You
