Curious about Artificial Intelligence and want to see what it’s really capable of?
Ignite AI is a free three-day summer programme designed to introduce young people to the exciting world of AI through hands-on activities, real-world challenges, and a visit to the AI Centre in London. Whether you’ve never used AI before or already enjoy exploring new technology, this programme will help you build practical skills while having fun with like-minded people.
Across three days, you’ll discover how AI is changing the world, explore how to use AI tools responsibly, and work as part of a team to create innovative solutions to real-life problems.
What You’ll Be Doing
Throughout the programme, you’ll:
- Visit the AI Centre in London to learn about the future of artificial intelligence
- Explore AI tools through practical workshops and activities
- Learn how AI works and how to use it safely and responsibly
- Work in teams to solve real-world challenges using AI
- Develop creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Build confidence presenting your ideas to others
- Meet new people and collaborate with other young people who share an interest in technology

Who It’s For
This programme is ideal for young people who:
- Are 16-18 years old (up to age 25 for young people with an EHCP or additional needs)
- Are curious about AI and emerging technology
- Enjoy being creative and solving problems
- Want to learn new skills in a supportive environment
- Like working with others and sharing ideas
- Are open to trying something new
No previous experience with AI or coding is needed, just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

Dates: 10-12 August 2026
Times:
- Day 1: 9:00am-5:00pm
- Day 2: 10:00am-4:00pm
- Day 3: 10:00am-4:00pm
Location: The Bradfield Centre, Cambridge, with an educational visit to the AI Centre in London on Day 1.

Important: As participants will work together on a team project across all three days, you’re expected to attend the full programme wherever possible.
