About the Opportunity
This Industry Experience Day with Millfield Autoparts gives young people the chance to step inside a real automotive parts business and explore careers across sales, operations, stock, and customer service.
Millfield Autoparts supplies vehicle parts and works closely with customers and businesses to keep vehicles on the road. This experience is designed to be interactive, practical, and supportive, helping young people understand how an automotive business operates day to day and what roles exist beyond just mechanics.
What to Expect on the Day
During the day, young people will:
- Take part in a welcome and introduction to Millfield Autoparts and how the business works
- Learn about the history of the company and the different roles within the team
- Work in small groups on interactive activities, including:

Creative tasks using real car parts to design and present a promotional storyboard

- Take part in a guided tour of the site, seeing how different departments work together
- Join a Q&A session with staff, hearing about career journeys, roles, and progression
Young people will stay in supported groups throughout the day and be guided by staff and Inspire 2 Ignite team members.
