This free Industry Day with North West Anglia NHS Trust is your chance to:
- Go behind the scenes of a real hospital
- Try hands-on activities
- Meet people who worked their way up from entry-level roles
- Discover real routes into paid NHS jobs and apprenticeships
No experience needed. No pressure. Just come and see if this could be for you. This is part of our Ignite into Industry Trailblazer Programme, alongside the industry days you will receive 10 hours of 1:1 careers coaching with Stay Nimble and lifetime access to their digital platform.
What to Expect on the Day
This isn’t a talk or a classroom session.
You’ll:
- Explore behind-the-scenes NHS roles most people never hear about
- Take part in hands-on activities and practical challenges
- See live demos linked to real NHS trades and facilities work
- Meet NHS staff who started at the bottom and worked their way up
- Ask questions, try things out, and see what the work is really like
You’ll leave with a clearer picture of:
- What these jobs actually involve
- What skills matter (and which ones don’t)
- Whether this is something you’d want to go further with
What They’re Looking For
This opportunity is for 18-24-year-olds who:
- Aren’t currently in education, employment, or training
- Want to explore real career options (not just be told about them)
- Are curious, practical, or like learning by doing
- Don’t have everything figured out and that’s okay
You do not need:
- Qualifications
- NHS experience
- To “know what you want to be”
What matters most is your attitude, curiosity, and willingness to give it a go.
