About the Opportunity

On the 22nd of January, this Industry Experience Day with Dragonheart Homes gives you the chance to step inside a real working construction and manufacturing environment and explore careers in off-site construction, modular housing, and production.
Dragonheart Homes design and manufacture high-quality, sustainable homes using modern methods of construction. Their factory-based approach offers exciting career pathways that combine practical skills, technology, teamwork, and innovation, all in a fast-growing industry.
This isn’t a classroom session or just a tour. It’s a hands-on opportunity to see how things work, ask questions, and understand what a real day in the industry looks like.
What to Expect on the Day
You’ll take part in a structured, supported experience designed to help you understand the business and the roles within it.
You will:
- Take part in a small induction covering health & safety and the working environment
- Join a guided factory tour, seeing how homes are built from components to finished modules
- Learn about quality control, production processes, and daily operations
- Hear directly from staff about their career journeys, training, and progression
- Take part in talks covering areas such as procurement, training, and factory operations
- Have time to ask questions and explore what roles might suit you
Young people will be guided and supported throughout the day and will not be left alone on site.

- PPE: Hi-vis and safety boots required (hi-vis can be provided; safety boots required)
- Facilities on site: Toilets, quiet space, canteen, vending machines, smoking area
- Accessibility: Step-free access is limited; quiet spaces are available
- Supervision: Young people will be guided at all times
- Transport: Support available via Inspire 2 Ignite if transport is a barrier
