This Ignite Into Industry Open Day with NHS North West Anglia is your chance to go behind the scenes of the NHS and explore careers in Facilities Management, the teams that keep hospitals and NHS buildings safe, operational, and ready to care for patients every day.
This isn’t a classroom session and it’s not just a tour. It’s a real insight into practical roles, real people, and real pathways into the NHS. This is part of our Ignite into Industry Trailblazer Programme, alongside the industry days you will receive 10 hours of 1:1 careers coaching with Stay Nimble and lifetime access to their digital platform.
What to Expect on the Day
During the day, you’ll take part in a structured, immersive experience designed to help you understand the work and show your potential.
You will:
- Take part in live electrical and plumbing demonstrations
- Learn how NHS buildings are maintained safely and efficiently
- Join an exclusive guided tour of an NHS facility
- Meet members of the Facilities Management team and hear about their roles and career journeys
- Get a “day in the life” insight into working in NHS Facilities Management
- Take part in informal conversations where the team gets to know your interests, motivation, and attitude
The focus is on how you engage, ask questions, work with others, and show curiosity, not on tests or qualifications.
