About the Opportunity

Are you ready to explore a real workplace with genuine progression opportunities even if you’ve never worked in a role like this before?

MM Flowers is one of the UK’s leading fresh flower businesses, supplying major retailers such as M&S and Tesco. This Industry Open Day gives you the chance to go behind the scenes, experience the working environment, and show what you’re capable of in a hands-on, supportive setting.

This isn’t a classroom session and it’s not just a tour. It’s an opportunity to take part in practical activities and be considered for a 12-week paid internship, with clear pathways into long-term employment. This is part of our Ignite into Industry Trailblazer Programme, alongside the industry days you will receive 10 hours of 1:1 careers coaching with Stay Nimble and lifetime access to their digital platform.

What to Expect on the Day

You’ll take part in a structured experience designed to help you understand the role and demonstrate your potential.

You will:

  • Join a guided factory tour, seeing how flowers move from arrival to dispatch
  • Speak with team members about their career journeys and progression
  • Complete short practical activities, including:

A basic English task

A hands-on colour-coding activity

  • A team-based MM Flowers simulation focusing on teamwork, communication, and quality
  • Take part in a short interview-style conversation to talk about your motivation, goals, and interest in the industry

The day is designed to help you understand the opportunities at MM Flowers and for MM Flowers to see how you could fit into their team
