About the Project
The Big Listen is a community event taking place on Friday, 5th June 2026 in St Neots’ Market Square, bringing together the local community for a day of connection and celebration.
Description of Volunteering Position
As an Accessibility Host and First Aider, you will play a vital role in making the event welcoming and safe for all attendees. You’ll support guests with accessibility needs and be on hand to provide first aid when required. You’ll wear a green identifier so attendees can easily find you.
Responsibilities
- Assist guests and attendees with accessibility needs throughout the event
- Provide first aid to attendees when required
- Ensure an inclusive and welcoming environment for all
Requirements
- Must be first aid trained, or willing to receive training ahead of the event
- Interest or experience working with people with SEN or disabilities (desirable)
- Empathetic, patient and calm under pressure
