About the Project
The Big Listen is a community event taking place on Friday, 5th June 2026 in St Neots’ Market Square, bringing together the local community for a day of connection and celebration.
Description of Volunteering Position
As a Community Host, you will be the welcoming face of The Big Listen, greeting attendees as they arrive and encouraging everyone to get involved throughout the day. You’ll wear an orange identifier to help attendees recognise you.
Responsibilities
- Welcome attendees as they arrive at the event
- Encourage attendee participation and engagement throughout the day
- Create a warm, inclusive atmosphere for all guests
Requirements
- Good interpersonal skills and a friendly, outgoing manner
- Experience in customer service or guest relations (desirable)
- Enthusiastic and confident in speaking with members of the public
