About the Project

The Big Listen is a community event taking place on Friday, 5th June 2026 in St Neots’ Market Square, bringing together the local community for a day of connection and celebration.

Description of Volunteering Position

As part of the Event Crew, you’ll be the backbone of The Big Listen, helping to set up and take down the event and keeping things running smoothly throughout the day. This is a hands-on, physical role perfect for those who like to get stuck in.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with event get-in (set up) and/or get-out (take down)
  • Assist with waste management during and after the event
  • Support crowd management as needed throughout the day

Requirements

  • Must be physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks
  • Happy to receive manual handling training ahead of the event
  • Reliable, proactive and a good team player

Additional Info

  • The event takes place on Friday 5th June 2026 in St Neots on the Market Square
  • We are looking for 10-20 Event Crew members
