About the Project
The Big Listen is a community event taking place on Friday, 5th June 2026 in St Neots’ Market Square, bringing together the local community for a day of connection and celebration.
Description of Volunteering Position
As an Interview Facilitator, you’ll be at the heart of The Big Listen, conducting short interviews with attendees and community members to capture their stories, thoughts and experiences. Your contributions will help tell the story of the event and the community it celebrates.
Responsibilities
- Conduct short, friendly interviews with event attendees and community members
- Capture people’s stories, opinions and experiences on camera or audio
- Work with the content creation team to share interview footage
- Help make interviewees feel comfortable and at ease
Requirements
- Confident, friendly and approachable communicator
- Comfortable speaking with a wide range of people
- Interest in storytelling, journalism or community engagement
- Reliable and enthusiastic
