About the Project
The Big Listen is a community event taking place on Friday, 5th June 2026 in St Neots’ Market Square, bringing together the local community for a day of connection and celebration.
Description of Volunteering Position
As a Live Stream Support volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in bringing The Big Listen to audiences beyond the market square. You’ll assist with the technical setup and operation of the live stream, helping to ensure the event reaches as many people as possible online.
Responsibilities
- Assist with setting up and testing live stream equipment before the event
- Monitor the live stream throughout the day to ensure quality and stability
- Troubleshoot any technical issues that arise during the stream
- Coordinate with the wider PR & Media Team on the day
Requirements
- Some experience with live streaming platforms or video technology
- Comfortable working with technical equipment in an outdoor environment
- Calm under pressure and able to problem-solve quickly
- Reliable and a good communicator
