About the Project

The Big Listen is a community event taking place on Friday, 5th June 2026 in St Neots’ Market Square, bringing together the local community for a day of connection and celebration.

Description of Volunteering Position

As a Social Media Assistant, you’ll help bring The Big Listen to life online. Working with the PR & Media Team on the day, you’ll post updates, share content and engage with the community in real time across social media platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Photograph and/or film key moments throughout the event
  • Assist with creating social media content on the day
  • Help capture interviews and attendee testimonials
  • Share content with the social media team for posting

Requirements

  • Confident and experienced using social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
  • Good written communication skills and a friendly tone of voice
  • Able to work at pace in a busy event environment
  • Reliable and a good team player
