About the Project
The Big Listen is a community event taking place on Friday, 5th June 2026 in St Neots’ Market Square, bringing together the local community for a day of connection and celebration.
Description of Volunteering Position
As the Social Media Manager, you’ll lead the social media strategy for The Big Listen in the weeks running up to the event. You’ll manage our platforms, plan and schedule content, and work closely with the content and design teams to build an engaged and excited audience before the event.
Responsibilities
- Lead on managing The Big Listen’s social media platforms in the lead-up to the event
- Plan and schedule content across platforms including Facebook, Instagram and X
- Engage with followers, respond to comments and build community online
- Monitor performance and adapt the strategy to grow reach and engagement
Requirements
- Experience managing social media platforms professionally or voluntarily
- Understanding of social media strategy, scheduling tools and analytics
- Creative and organised with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
