Facilitating self-employment workshop in Trumpington

The students learning about work experience and what to expect

At Inspire 2 Ignite, we know that great entrepreneurs possess a unique set of characteristics that set them apart from the rest. So, what makes a great entrepreneur?

Recently, we had the pleasure of facilitating a self-employment workshop with the young people at Trumpington Community College, alongside Sonal Keshwala and Kathryn Fladgate. It was an amazing morning, and we were blown away by the creativity and innovation shown by the young people.

During the workshop, we had just 20 minutes to help the students reflect on a problem they currently see in the world, identify a solution, and pitch their idea to the group in just 30 seconds. It was an efficient and exciting exercise, and the results were impressive.

Embedding entrepreneurial experiences within the local community

As we’ve worked closely with the school in previous roles, it was great to see the young people buzzing with energy and enthusiasm. And, being headquartered in Trumpington ourselves, we’re committed to embedding Curious Entrepreneurs into the local community, creating pathways for young people to create their next chapter.

In fact, we’ve recently partnered with Bidwells to connect the Careers Lead at Trumpington Community College to the Bidwells Talent Acquisition with the Ignition Coach – a transformational triangle that gives young people a route into an incredible employer in the local area.

We believe that by embedding ourselves in the community, we can make an immediate impact and help young people to develop the characteristics they need to become great entrepreneurs.
