Volunteering Opportunity: Minibus Driver with Inspire 2 Ignite

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a reliable and caring volunteer to support young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) by helping remove one of the biggest barriers they face: transport.

As a Volunteer Minibus Driver, you will play a key role in helping young people access training, work experiences, and community opportunities delivered by Inspire 2 Ignite. Your support will help them feel safe, confident, and able to engage with new opportunities.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

• Drive young people to and from programmes, training and work experiences
• Safely operate the Inspire 2 Ignite 17-seat minibus
• Ensure journeys are safe, punctual, and comfortable
• Provide a friendly and reassuring presence during journeys
• Communicate with the team regarding timings and logistics

You don’t need previous experience working with young people, just a positive attitude and willingness to help.

Requirements

• Ability to drive a 17-seat minibus
• Hold a D1 licence, or be over 21 with a clean driving licence and at least 2 years’ driving experience
• Confidence driving safely and responsibly
• Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
• Commitment to following all Inspire 2 Ignite policies and procedures, including safeguarding
