Inspire 2 Ignite CIC announces Crowdfunder project to bring 100 NEET young people to Ideas Fest

Inspire 2 Ignite, a Community Interest Company dedicated to supporting young people has launched a project through Crowdfunder aiming to raise £20,000. This total will enable 100 18 – 24-year-olds who are not in education, employment, or training (NEET) to attend Ideas Fest, an exclusive festival designed for business leaders, entrepreneurs, and creatives.

A business conference with a difference

Dubbed as the “Glastonbury for Entrepreneurs,” Ideas Fest is not your typical conference. It offers a unique opportunity for the 2,000 attendees to make connections, be inspired by new ideas, and advance their businesses in a festival setting. The event will take place 4th and 5th July in Colchester and will feature experienced speakers from the industry, including the founders of BrewDog, ScoreApp, and King of Shaves.

Inspire 2 Ignite CIC has secured an agreement with the founders of Ideas Fest to have an exclusive tent for the “Curious Entrepreneurs” at the heart of the festival called “Curious Corner.”

The Curious Corner

For most of the festival, the “Curious Corner” will be a space exclusively for 18 – 24 year olds, where they can have fireside chats with experienced speakers and the many Inspire 2 Ignite allies including founder of The Purposeful Project, Simon Squibb. During selected periods of the agenda, the over 24s will also have access to the “Curious Corner,” where the real experts (the 18-24s) will take to the stage to share their ideas, opinions and visions with experienced business leaders and industry experts.

Inspire 2 Ignite CIC aims to inspire and support young people, and in the UK, thousands of 16-24 year olds are NEET, simply because they are not aware of the opportunities available to them, leading to uninspired individuals and employers struggling to recruit young talent. Inspire 2 Ignite CIC believes that entrepreneurial activities are key to unlocking entrepreneurial characteristics, and they are on target to engage 10,000 16-24-year-olds this year through entrepreneurial events and experiences.

Crowdfunding for tickets

Each £200 raised through Crowdfunder UK will pay for one young person to experience Ideas Fest. Inspire 2 Ignite CIC wants to raise a total of £20,000 to enable 100 NEET 18 – 24 year olds to access the festival and experience this opportunity. By making a donation, supporters can help cover the cost of festival tickets, accommodation, and travel expenses for 100 young people, empowering the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs.

Inspire 2 Ignite CIC is offering rewards to donors, ranging from a virtual high five to VIP tickets to Ideas Fest, co-branded stage, social media campaigns, and brand deals.
